Cold as hell,
Unmoved but rotating
Constant spinning, a most annoying flux,
Sit alone amidst throngs, quiet, and aloud,
I hate bars in the evening,
too sober, too personal, no one forgets,
the words you say,
Reality still complete,
intact with shallow remnants of the day,
true dreaming, mild drunkenness, debauchery,
those things don’t occur until
late,
11ish of the bar closes at...

Speak to me in bitter tongues, sweet silence throughout years Revel there in moonlit madness, our eyes melt wax on unwashed floors Tear back sweet sunlights curtains, Climb down from chairs on high, Drink still-born mists, With broken fists, remembered alibi. The moonlit day, the sunbroke night, a memory fades away, With weathered sky, and drunken eye, homebound we will sway. Oft passions prelude,...

Poem that Liz and I wrote
spiral swirls twisting little blonde curls cresting an unending crescendo, blue and fresh hay blond, A riptide tearing nothing from out of an open hulled dingy he’s gone away, futures past, present gone smashed glass, broken turnstiles A crowd once awed sits still, a single sonnet, signed sweetly sways with the waves, salt mixing with salt, water red with sun Kiss me softly in the moonlight,...
Goodnight
Goodnight Ed Perkins,
Apartment 34f,
Sleep soundly,
Another day,
Begins shortly,
3 AM,
Ed Perkins,
Dozes Finally,
A Fitful Rest,
Killed Himself,
Yesterday Morning,
Ed Perkins
Lays to Rest,
Unable to Cope,
Unmittigated disaster,
Do Good,
Ed Perkins,
Apartment 34f.
Love is the only Gold
– Alfred Lord Tenyson
Sat Nite
Another Saturday nite spent silent, solemn even,
Reminiscing about long lost powers,
and people, places now mere memory, or worse regret.
Sometimes the madness creeps in slowly, and other times,
It grabs you by the neck and shakes you till you cannot let go.
Stars
The dawns light caresses blank eyes
Left dewy from nights corrections,
You Left rubbing out midnights confections,
Sleepless and tired,
Awake and wired,
Dissect me in your dreams
A fast car outruns a slow,
You seek that knowledge,
Your know that you will never know
Daydreams bleed in sunlight,
And nightmares cower at midnight blinded by the stars.
Sober
A man alone on the road, sits alone, sees high speed chases Watches A sunset sober surely an accomplishment Time freezes, He is free.
Bluesy
I knew me the sweetness of the near sunshine, caused me to tremble, waiting in the transit line, Callled to me sweet sweetness waiting until the morning sunshine Cried me a river when the river took that love of mine, and in the moring woke up feeeling like I as dying, but I long to love you baby no matter if the sun shines no matter if th sun shines
The state of my existence
Here it is, my life is this,
a giant lizard with too much sun, trying to cool down before it is too late.
And in the end he dies, on a rock, surrounded by lizards, indifferent.
Too busy sunning themselves
Deaths head
The death’s head’s stare hides,
much of passion deep inside,
The dawn birds shrill,
pulls doors closed,
lands heads hard on soft pillows,
yielding quickly to troubled sleep,
morning breaks the night.
Mine
You sneak back in slowly,
Sticking to the corner of my eye,
Drunk again, home and alone,
Your cries in the night no longer a priority,
You flail in mediocrity,
Screaming obscenities at the macadam,
My green eyed monsters been put to sleep,
Your hearts deep problems no longer mine,
I listened half-heartedly wondering, if you are currently drinking wine,
You waltz in slowly, dancing again...
# 3
We run etching our names on white oaks,
Typing pages ignoring tempo, and typo,
Firing our existence in the kiln of impermanence,
The glaze glares still fresh in the heat of a morning sun,
Long after the fire escapes our lungs,
We build sculptures stark against the sky,
Steel scaffolds, ignited interiors lit by temporarily contained fire,
Someone change my light bulb,
So I might glow...
Mists
Wonder why you wander in mists,
Blue tinged streets awash in drizzle,
Moonlit evenings penetrated by starlight,
Trees throw off their leaves,
Another seasons jacket,
Discarded.
Molehills
I make molehills into mountains,
Cut my tongue on the sun,
Forced labor building monuments over mass graves,
Sliced open bleeding,
Chalk marks on a black board,
Mathematically inconceivable,
Highly improbable,
The engineers lost his hat again,
His train too fast,
Careening on unmarked rails,
In an otherwise unremarkable part of town,
Your babies cries a newfound disappointment,
Too...
Dawn
The day broken,
Shattered by sunlight,
Dawn beam yellow,
Against a pale blue sky
A world yawning tired
Stretches and strains to stir
A robin rests on a leafless bow,
As snow falls crisply on uncovered grass.
I am asleep awoken like the dawn,
Sheltered from the storm,
I find solace in my slumber.
Vicious
Cold comfort comes
Half cocked
A dreamscape diluted
Disappears
We wander in the morning
Seeking sunlight
Holding out hopes
Through the passing years
A blue velvet cloudscape
Caresses our tears
The fiery orange sunlight
Erases our fears.
Trample my heart again
Your pathetic love pachyderm
Portends danger
You vicious smile
Hides the eyes of a stranger.
Moonlight awakening
Last night left an indelible immpression on me,
Such that I am no longer able to spell impression,
I find your kiss addictive,
And your hips seductive,
You aroma enticing,
See you speaking delving deeper,
Wondering what you are seeking,
Minds cross thought gaps,
Vacant stares,
No silence
Warm Yellow hues,
Kissed sunrises,
Moonlite goodnights,
And poetic early rises,
You want what you...
Women
Women in life
Give lessons out like kisses
Freely at first becoming fleeting over time.
Learn quickly from these strangers
There is something you should know
She whispers in a dream
You will miss your self completely
Never knowing who you are
Before you act unseemly
Go out and drink the snow.
My mother taught me nothing
I learned from reading signs
McDonalds, Arbys, Burger King,
...
Unfinished
Love is a self help guide that no one reads.
Chapter one, meeting your lover,
Seek out those with similar interests,
If you like bowling,
Go to a bowling alley,
Be open, accepting, and above all friendly,
She, or he will respond in kind,
Dating, Section two
Be sure and involve her in your interests,
Regardless of whether she gives a damn or not.
Dance
Come dance with me my darling,
In scarlet hued circles,
Around the dance floor.
Come sing to me my darling,
Your quiet cadence,
Echoing across the shore,
Come kiss me once,
then smile,
and Ill come back for more.
Advice
I asked my friend where he was heading,
April, he said,
April?
Inevitably, he said.
I asked my friend what new music he was listening to,
J.S. Bach, he said,
J.S. Bach?
Yeah, it is new to me, he said.
I asked my friend for some advice,
He said nothing,
Nothing?
Best advice you’ll ever get he said.
Lost
I killed your baby
Tis true
Slashed its neck in the middle of the night
Unborn,
Still-born,
Fuck uncreated,
I killed nothing which is just what I left with,
No more no less,
I saw you pulsing, undulating, naked for the world,
And me,
Entered new territory, blinded by ignorance,
By gods grace I will realize there is a god.
And through his power I will enter your divine company again.
...
Night dream
I see your smile a chesire cat grin of a cast I used to own,
in my minds eye,
A pregnant puppy begets a bulbous pupua,
A spelling test failed still sits on a magnetized iron fridge,
worn tired by years,
the opposite of neglect.
Wont prevent apparent catastrophe regardless.
Milk spilled on 300 dollar jeans,
Bitching,
Net worth 20 bucks,
Happy about it.
Pixellated
We sit poised watching pixilated portions of our lives whizz by,
A never ending rerun,
File formats once compatible deleted,
New translations of ancient works digitized,
Can you love an image?
Yes.
Shattered into pieces broadcast through invisible means,
am I divisible by one or zero?
If I spoke in binary would you understand,
or just run?
You want a world painted black, and white,
Gray...
Poem of the day...
The demon sleeps within,
Wishes to be fed, its hungers have been satisfied for so long,
Send him screaming to bed,
No supper for eternity,
A slumber unending,
He may be missed at times,
A friend who kicks you when you’re down,
Spits in your face,
And throws his dishes emptied on the ground
Wherein they smash into a million,
Tiny shards,
Dismantling images carved days,
Or years...
